Biography
Uncharted started their journey back in July 07.Their debut single "Song for You" was launched in the beginning of October and lead them to a BMA nomination for Best Newcomer Award. The band used this opportunity to push their music further. “Song for You” was first officially launched at their first gig which was held at Rookies 12th October and housed a large audience.
December was a busy month for Uncharted since they performed at the BMAs and took part in the Rookie's annual music marathon. IN the meantime the band worked very hard on producing new singles and went into recording in January 08.
Their second single "Another Day" was launched in February and gained the attention of a different audience since this song was different to their previous style. The song was softer, deeper and involved various instruments. "Another Day" reached high position on all local charts, reaching a peak on Bay Radio's charts as 11th place and obtained 1st position on Bay's local top 10 for two weeks in a row.
In May Uncharted went back into the recording studios this time to record their third single entitled "No More" which peaked on XFM's top 40 chart reaching 15th place on the charts. May was very eventful for the band, they were asked to perform at the Malta Fashion Awards 2008. In June Uncharted were also invited to perform in Bugibba for the Isle of MTV Malta Music Special.
Uncharted have just launched their latest single called "The Dream" on all local radio stations. This single boasts of a fresh new style which is catchy and very fast moving. The band is unique and this new single is a reflection of every member's musical influences. The single speaks about how society seems to project the idea that the world is fine and that it has progressed. In the song there is the expression of the confusion one feels when realizing that the world is an imperfect place despite the conflicting messages that society sends out. This single has been received well by many professionals interested in the local music scene. “Jeanelle and Uncharted provide an alternative sound that is quite refreshing on the local rock scene.” – Toni Sant. Two of Uncharted’s singles, 'Another Day' and 'The Dream' were nominated by Toni Sant for best singles for 2008.
Their last gig was held on the 11th October at Poxx Bar with Airport Impressions. Uncharted will once again be performing at Poxx Bar on Friday 17th October, this time for a different reason. The band has entered The Lidea Band Challenge which is a competition, in conjunction with well known music program "Shuffle" ,being showed weekly on Net TV. The winner of this competition will get to perform in front of a 20,000 crowd in Holland.
The band is very determined to further their music both locally and abroad. Moreover, Uncharted are presently working on new material which will be launched earlier on next year while continuing to plan a series of gigs to end the year on a high.

Just to add to what I was just saying. This song truly shows the talent of an amazing band ; great rhythm and very upbeat! A song that deserves a repeat on music player ;)
